You can ignore the later serial number on
this one, and for any This Old Horn Mk VI for that matter,
because we hunt and search for PLAYERS, not lookers, and this
old Mark is everything and more you might expect in a vintage
Selmer regardless of serial number or pedigree. Freshly
overhauled and perfectly set up it sports a NEW and original Mk
VI vintage neck from Selmer's back storeroom. It matches the
horn well and the tone and projection are just great as you would
expect.
We personally play each horn in our
inventory and we play them regularly during their stay with us
to develop a real feel for the individual horn and all its
qualities. Sometimes we take the horns on gigs to see how others
react to the instrument and to record it in a club
setting. We can then listen to the horn and judge for ourselves.
In short, we know our horns.
All our horns now ship in a ProTec
style, zipper closure, hard sided case
unless otherwise instructed. We recommend this case very highly
and we prefer to ship in them because we are
confident there will be no damage.
However, if you feel that you want an original, period trunk case, we have them
available at no additional charge.
Have a look at these
cases at:

from the Home page under
